Mark Zandi

Mark Zandi is a prominent American economist. He is chief economist of Moody’s Analytics. He is a widely-trusted advisor to policy makers, and has testified many times before Congress on various economic matters. Mark is a regular contributor to The Washington Post and The Philadelphia Inquirer, and is a frequent guest on CBS’ Face the Nation and NBC’s Meet the Press. He also appears on many other shows, on networks including CNBC, CNN, Fox Business and NPR. Educated at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, he is the author of several bestselling books.

Mark Zandi on Gen Jones:
Born in 1959, Mark identifies as part of Generation Jones, and has brought up Gen Jones in various interviews. For example, in the context of Jonesers coming of age more oriented toward business than politics, the Philadephia Inquirer wrote in February 2023: “That attitude helped much of Generation Jones do quite well financially, according to economist Mark Zandi of Moody’s Analytics.”
